This relaxed, 30-minute session combines a short 15-minute riding experience with fun, hands-on pony activities — which change from week to week to keep it exciting.

Children will enjoy a calm pony ride, followed by simple activities such as:

• Grooming and brushing their pony

• Leading their pony around the arena

• Helping with small stable tasks

• Fun pony-themed games

Designed especially for toddlers, young children, and beginners who might be a little nervous, these sessions are calm, supportive, and confidence-building. Parents can stay close by, making it a comfortable first step into the saddle.

Our Day at the Stables is the perfect way for children (6yrs+) to spend a fun-filled morning with ponies and horses. Designed for all levels, from complete beginners to confident riders, every session is tailored to help each child learn, grow, and enjoy time at the stables.

Here’s what’s included:

• 🐴 Horse Riding Lesson – Learn at your own pace with our friendly instructors. Beginners are guided through the basics of stopping, steering, and trotting, while more advanced riders can progress to cantering and even jumping.

• 🎠 Pony Games or Trek – Depending on the season and weather, enjoy either a relaxed pony trek or exciting horseback games in the arena.

• 🧼 Pony Care & Stable Management – Get hands-on with grooming, leading, and feeding ponies, and learn the simple joys of stable life. Children also join in with mucking out the stables — a surprisingly fun teamwork activity!

Suitable for all ages and abilities, these 30-minute lessons focus on building confidence and learning the essentials: steering, stopping, and trotting.

Led by our experienced and friendly instructors, each session is designed to be calm, enjoyable, and tailored to the rider. For young children, we have special inky dinky saddles (ideal for under-4s), and for those who need extra support, we provide assistive saddles to make sure everyone feels safe and comfortable.
