🐴 Meet our ponies – Get to know our four-legged friends and spend a little time around them before riding.

🪮 Hands-on pony fun – Each session starts with a wee activity, which could be grooming, leading, feeding treats or helping with some simple stable jobs.

🏇 Time in the saddle – Children then enjoy approximately 15–20 minutes of gentle pony riding, with games, music and fun little exercises to help them learn the basics of stopping, steering and balancing.

💕 Learning through fun – It’s all about building confidence, making friends and getting comfortable around ponies at their own pace.

And one of the loveliest things for us is seeing children who were a little nervous on their first visit coming back week after week, growing in confidence and developing a real love for ponies.

Whether you’re local to Limavady or visiting the North Coast, our toddler sessions are a lovely way to spend some time together and make a few special memories.

No previous pony experience needed!

Sessions run throughout the year, with additional dates during school holidays and special seasonal activities at Halloween and Christmas.

💕 Growing in Confidence, Week After Week

Nicole’s daughter Éirinn attends our Saturday toddler sessions, and she’s seen such a difference in her confidence, balance, coordination and independence since starting. 🐴 From Nervous to Not Wanting to Leave!

Brittany brought her two daughters, aged 5 and 6, along for a birthday treat. Her eldest was very nervous at first, but our team helped her feel safe with lots of encouragement and reassurance. By the end, both girls had such a brilliant time they didn’t want to leave, and Mum said they’d definitely be back!

Have a wee read through our reviews on Tripadvisor.

We recommend children wear comfortable clothing, long trousers and suitable footwear, such as boots with a small heel. Don’t worry about riding hats, as we’ll provide those!

A parent or responsible adult must stay with their child throughout the session and will be expected to lead their pony during the riding part. Our lovely team will be on hand to help and guide you along the way.

And don’t worry if your wee one is a little nervous or unsure at first — we’re well used to first-time riders and will help them settle in at their own pace!
